Prior to moving to Asheville, nearly three years ago, I lived in an amazing community in the beautiful coastal town of Santa Cruz, CA. I exchanged the ocean for the mountains and the known for a leap of faith which is yet still airborne. I thought I was removed from the art and music that seemed biological destiny in my family. It was not until I was fulfilled in my work in child psychology did the intensity of pursuing art become apparent. I have used a pencil to capture what I see and watercolor to allow the nature of individuals to come through in portraiture. Now my exploration deepens with clay and I find myself traveling infinite paths, pursuing the freedom to express my own essence.
